FAQ · ANIGMA structural window subframe Frequently asked questions
Can’t find the answer you need? Get in touch – a real person from our team will reply.
What is ANIGMA and how is it different from a conventional one-piece subframe?
ANIGMA is a structural one-piece window subframe in lightweight concrete. Conventional systems focus on low weight, speed and initial insulation; ANIGMA works together with the masonry and becomes part of the building, so it keeps its stability and performance over the long term.
Do the window fabricator and sill supplier need to visit site?
No. ANIGMA comes with the dimensions for the window, roller shutter, insect screen and sills, so suppliers can go into production without measuring up on site.
What is the thermal performance?
Thermal conductivity λ = 0.074 W/mK and thermal transmittance U = 0.24 W/m²K.
Is ANIGMA fire-resistant?
Yes: lightweight concrete is inherently fire-resistant and offers more passive protection than the lightweight, combustible materials common on the market.
It’s concrete – how heavy is it? How is it handled?
ANIGMA is made from a mix with maximum weight reduction, designed to stay easy to handle on site. For large openings there is ANIGMA in KIT, supplied as modular components that are easy to transport.
What maintenance does it need?
Once installed, ANIGMA is an integral part of the building: maintenance is comparable to that of an ordinary concrete wall.
What sizes are available?
ANIGMA is configured to suit each project. For large openings, ANIGMA in KIT is available.
How long does it last?
ANIGMA is designed to last 10, 20 years and beyond, maintaining its structural stability and performance.
